Kayali Permanently Restocked Its Popular ‘Silk Santal’ Fragrance— So We Tried It!

The BrownStyle Team fell in love with this warm floral fragrance.

In June 2023, Kayali launched its limited-edition wedding collection: Wedding Silk Santal | 36 and Wedding Velvet Santal | 35. Not long after its debut, the romantic fragrances— designed to celebrate the union between founder Mona Kattan and her husband Hassan Elamin— went viral.

Due to its incredible popularity, demand soared for the duo fragrances that the couple designed in collaboration with Firmenich perfumers Fabrice Pellegrin and Gabriela Chelariu. Even the Silk Satal‘s bottle, which was inspired by Kattan’s gorgeous white gown, captured the attention of loyal shoppers.

According to the brand, each fragrance was crafted to be timeless for any special day, made to be shared, and meant to celebrate love in all its forms. Therefore, it was logical that in October 2024, the brand declared its bright, uplifting, and elegant scents would be available on a permanent basis.

With all the buzz around Wedding Silk Santal, we wanted to find out if it was worth the hype. Ahead, learn about the notes of the fragrance, along with BrownStyle Magazine team’s honest reviews of Silk Santal.

The Fragrance Notes Of Kayali’s Wedding Silk Santal

Its delicate scent opens with Sparkling Champagne and silky White Freesia, while Pink Praline and lush Nectarine create a romantic heart. Sugared Musk and creamy Sandalwood provide a sweet, smooth finish, perfectly rounding out this enchanting scent as a tribute to love.

“This fragrance is worth the hype! The brand describes it as bright, uplifting, and elegant, and I couldn’t agree more. The blend of fruity, floral, and gourmand notes perfectly align with my favorite scent profiles. It dries down beautifully on my skin, and with New Year’s celebrations on the horizon, I’m excited to pair this fragrance with my celebratory outfit for the perfect finishing touch.”

Devika Bhandari, Beauty Writer

“Just in time for the holidays, the sugary undertones of the scent make me think of warm, fresh-baked sugar cookies on a cold day. The scent is honey and light, great for everyday wear.”

“Kayali is known for crafting some of the best scents on the market, so I just had to give this one a try. I am obsessed with Kayali’s Wedding Silk Santal! It’s the perfect balance between cozy and classy, with a creamy sandalwood vibe that’s honestly so addictive.

If I had to describe it, I would say it feels like a warm, elegant hug. It melts into your skin and gets better as the day goes on. The scent opens with this beautiful creamy sandalwood that feels luxurious without being overpowering. The floral notes make it feel fresh, but the warm sandalwood keeps it grounded. It’s like that perfect blend of sexy and sophisticated.

I’ve been wearing it on both chill days and for nights out, and I get so many compliments! It’s subtle but lasts all day. This is one of those scents that makes you feel fancy without even trying— definitely a new staple in my collection!”

“I am so happy that Kayali brought back it’s Wedding Silk Santal! It is a great fragrance for the winter thanks to its woodsy vanilla smell. It makes you feel warm and cozy all over— think snuggling up with a fluffy cashmere blanket and watching the snow fall from a cabin’s window. It’s that kind of vibe! I love how you can smell the sugary musk and sparkling champagne. It’s a great combination.”
