If you’re searching for nail inspiration, look no further than ‘Mocha Swirl’ nails! The Fall-friendly look features rich brown tones reminiscent of a creamy mocha coffee. Enhanced with subtle swirls or marbling effects, it is just what you need to inspire warm and coziness this season.
I love to try new looks. After scrolling through social media, I came across some subtle swirl designs that sparked inspiration for my latest Fall manicure. To make my dreams a reality, I booked a nail appointment at Resort Nailz in Philadelphia, owned and operated by Naeemah Johnson.
After chatting with my nail tech Nana about Fall-inspired nail designs, I gave her creative control to create what we both agreed to be our interpretation of ‘Mocha Swirl’ nails. She began to work her magic. Instead of traditional acrylic or polygel, she used builder gel to give them a more natural yet durable finish.
We agreed on an almond-esque shape with a length that allowed for space to experiment. After painting on a creme-colored base, Nana began creating subtle chocolate swirls to capture the essence of the soon-to-be trend.
To add some pizzazz, she adorned each nail with delicate gems.
The whole process took about three hours, but time flew by with good vibes and conversation. The final product resulted in something that I couldn’t be happier with!
