BrownStyle Magazine was proud to be the official media sponsor of the Philly Carnival 2024! Surrounded by love and unity, the annual event held during Father’s Day weekend (June 15th) once again proved to be a day to remember.
We were honored to have played a part in highlighting the vibrant spirit and rich cultural heritage of the Caribbean community in Philadelphia. Below, find the highlights from the yearly celebration of culture, music, and traditions.
A Day of Fête
The mas kicked off at 10:00 AM with a vibrant display of eye-catching costumes, energetic dance troupes, and music designed to make you move. Each bringing their unique flair and cultural pride to the streets of Philadelphia, the parade featured several bands representing various Caribbean nations.
The atmosphere was electric as the vibrational sounds from the trucks on the road encouraged everyone to dance and celebrate life. Even the little ones danced on the sidelines as they enjoyed the outdoor festivities.
The Competition
One of the highlights from the event was the competition for the best mas where the bands showcased their creativity and spirit through their costumes, music selection, masquerading, and jumping.
Infusion Nation took home the top prize this year, impressing the judges and audience with their energetic performance.

Live Entertainment
The talented Sweetheart of Soca, Rae, was all smiles as she gave an amazing and interactive performance at the Philly Carnival 2024. We especially enjoyed her magnificent performance of “Gimme D Ting” which served good vibes and made the crowd jump.
