BrownStyle Magazine was honored to be the official media sponsor of the third annual Sistas In Suits: Women’s Empowerment Brunch held in Philadelphia! The vibes? Sisterly. The suits? Powerful. The energy? Unmatched.
Founded by Shahirah Brown Esq., the heartfelt gathering was a celebration of collaboration and growth. “Sistas In Suits is a community that promotes sisterhood and our well-being,” Brown explains to BrownStyle Magazine about the inspiration behind the annual event that brings together women from different walks of life.

She continues, “My focus is to highlight the importance of women uplifting each other and supporting one another. You should never be able to leave the room without meeting a new person or supporting another business.”
A Tribute To Sisterhood & Style

From the moment we walked into the event, it was clear that the energy was high. Filled with joy, women happily shared compliments and good vibes as they networked with fellow professionals. It truly felt like a safe space for Black and Brown women to connect, uplift, and empower each other.
“We host Sistas In Suits once a year and every year we try to elevate it with new experiences and vendors. This year, we the opportunity for attendees to create custom flower bouquets to give to others or someone they admire,” Brown tells us with a smile.
Each guest arrived draped in bold and expressive suits (and dresses) that showcased their personal style. It wasn’t just about looking good—it was about owning our power and showing up as our most authentic, bossed-up selves. And we were here for it!
A Host Who Made Every Woman Feel Seen

One of the standout voices of the event was Ayana Blount, who served as an incredible moderator and host.
She had a way of making every woman in the room feel seen, valued, and important. With her humor, insight, and energy, she kept the conversations flowing seamlessly and ensured that each panel resonated deeply with the audience.
Power-Packed Panels
Sistas In Suits delivered thought-provoking discussions through three dynamic panels filled with women who shared their strategies for success. Below are the conversations that kept the audience engaged.
